BOOK 18 status

Book 18 first draft is done. Over 72k words. I wanted it to be bigger but I'm flat out out of time.

I'm putting a little blog at the end of it since its going to be my last traditional book. It's getting harder to write. I notice the last 30% of each book gets very hard to write. Like stuffing water in a water bottle that's already full, but trying to get the last airbubbles out.

My heads getting fuzzier again and I notice I'm making a lot more typos. I probably have another of bad migraine episodes coming.

Plus the news is getting worse. So hopefully putting the blog at the end of my book is a nice book-end to the whole thing. Sort of explained how I came up with the timeline and my predictions for the near future.

Going to try to squeeze in a few more stories into book 18 and plan on publishing it Sept 15th. Hopefully a few more lighthearted stories instead of all the doom and gloom, it's hard to find escapism right now, so we'll see.

I know i could have released all of these as independant books but cramming them into a single book has been a lot of joy. I hope everyone else enjoys it too.

I couldn't have done this without yall providing all the awesome input into book 18, i really appreciate yall. I'll update this again when book 18 is done.

Also I have a youtube channel just for the book, check out "PNW AFFLICTION" on youtube. I have a dlive "CHANCE PALADIN" and I have a patreon "CHANCE PALADIN" though I'm not sure what to do with the Patreon.

I apologize for all the typos and phonetic misspellings and any confusing explanations in my books. I really did my best, so thank you for the patience. I know these books aren't perfect, and they never were meant to be. They're just me. So I hope you can accept the books at that value.

Thanks as always and stay safe.

PNW Affliction 1: Recycled - The Retrospective

PNW Affliction 1: Recycled - The Retrospective Alright. This's been a long time coming, and there's probably no real better place to start than at the beginning. Spoilers abound, although this's mostly "behind the story" type stuff. This book isn't actually the beginning of the story by any means. It's the beginning of the main character though, and it's how this whole "universe" got started. Basically I had a dream one night of walking and it getting progressively darker until there was no light left. Just like nearly every single one of my books, this started out with a basic premise. Really no more than a "first act" if you will. I wrote the first act, peppered in with some things that were real, like me having a cat that played with a plastic bag while I tried to sleep. I can't exactly remembered where the premise came from for act two, except that I've always been fascinated by recycling and the recycling logo. ...

Happy Thanksgiving! Books #1, 10, and 12 are free this weekend to celebrate Thanksgiving as well as the release of book #13 and #15 by the end of the weekend. Skipping #14 for now because continuity is overrated. :D If the giveaway does well enough, I'll release a few more for free throughout the weekend, so we'll see. Stay tuned all weekend. Tell your friends please, without word-of-mouth nobody will know about the books if you enjoyed them. Thanks as always. Have a good time with family and then read free books! -Chance

Book #13 first draft is done

Hello All, I know it took forever, but I finally got the blog created. The first draft of book #13 is done, finally. I know it took forever. I've had these hiccups in the past. The only other one I remember as significant was #4 but I swear there was a second one I got stuck on for a bit. It was basically the same as this one. I had the first "act" written and knew where it needed to end up, but the entire middle part refused to coagulate in my brain. When it finally did, the darn book wrote itself within a few days and ended up being the longest book I'd written so far. Basically takes place in California during its collapse, which happens a while before the PNW Collapse. A brave studly man fights off cartels to find a distress signal he thinks came from a prior group that he accidentally inspired and now feels responsible for. So anyway, onto some nerd stats for book #13. It's a little over 30,400 words. According to Excel that puts it a little highe...
