9/5/2018 update

Free book weekend went good. Gave away 36 more books between book #1 and book #5.

Slowly working on book #14 and 15 at the same time. I hate it when this happens. I still don't have a tablet I can type on to write books when I'm actually inspired so I have two spiral bound notebooks alternating between two stories. I decided to shelve part of 14 and make it into a standalone novel, the other part of 14 will focus on the core of the story I was trying to tell instead of running off with itself.

#13 just needs to be edited. I'm 3-4 books behind in my editing and half the people that've read my books only comment is, "I need an editor." If they only knew how much that would cost me. I have reached out to several publishers and the responses range to being ignored to flat out insulted at the sheer thought of it. You're apparently supposed to do the whole thing yourself, then hire someone who pitches your book or some nonsense, whatever. Wtf is the point of self publishing if you still have to deal with all of the same idiots and bureaucrats that strangle the situation to begin with.

Still amazes me there isn't a place for people who WANT TO READ BOOKS instead of authors competing with other authors for the author audience circle jerk. I also realize my books could be so much more, but since I can't write by sheer thought and I'm being pulled in 100 different ways, and nobody is actually encouraging me, 13, 14, 15 and the edits of 1, 2, 3, and 5. I guess I'll try to revisit them once per year.

Anyway 13 first write up is done I actually love it. I can't wait to do the edits. 14 is going to be hard to write, 15 is practically writing itself. This's happened at least 3 times now. Gotta jet, its late. take care.

Book 14 followup and 15 update

Hello All, Slight oopsy and book #14 wasn't in KDP Select aka Kindle Unlimited for some reason. It's a checkbox that I know I hit but ya know, oh well. It's fixed now. Sorry whoever out there was mashing their head against the keyboard wondering why book book 1-13 was on KU and 14 wasn't. I don't know your name, but hats off to you for mashing through book #13 like a champ! I wish I could see what you liked about it but you read it through solid apparently, so must have been decent ;) Book 15 still in the works. It's going to be massive. By far the most characters introduced. Basically cramming in every single type of character I hadn't made yet that I find interesting in the most asked for setting. It'd better be massive also! I want my second "season" of books to be of comperable size which means this book has to be like two pretty beefy books in one. And you're in luck because it's going to have like 8 arcs, har har! "Wh...

Books renumbered on Amazon

Due to overwhelming feedback, the naming convention on Amazon for my books has been updated. No more roman numerals, except on the book covers. This would take forever to fix because Amazon doesn't have a super simple way of changing a single character on a book title that I can find, even though I made those in their system. It looks like they don't save it anywhere that I can tell. Suffice it to say everywhere else, the book numbers should be updated. I overestimated people's familiarity with roman numerals. Is what it is. Switching everything to numbers. It looks a little more basic, but I guess it sounds like that's what everyone wants. So I'll go with it and see how it does. Please let me know what you think? Amazon should have everything updated by tomorrow, hopefully. Thanks as always. Note 1: Amazon's "series" functionality still doesn't work. I have a note in to them, and I'll see if I can get them to set it up. Note 2: Me upda...

book 18 first draft done, 84k words

book 18 first draft done, 84k words. on solid writing days I was writing round 10-12k words per day which is insanely ambitious. Tons of positive energy in chat is what kept that going. Thanks everyone for the awesome outpouring. this book isn't too big or too small, it's just right! It might get a tiny bit bigger as I do a second draft, but I'm very happy with it. Tells 18 great stories.  I wish i could have done more, but this timing is perfect. I got 16 stories done a bit ahead of time, and had time to squeeze in two more. It'll take about two weeks'ish to do a second draft and if there isnt anything i glaringly missed and no compelling reasons to squeeze in more stories, I'm very happy with 18 stories for book #18.  I initially wanted it to be huge, but then upon reviewing the timeline and the enormous amount of physical and mental effort it takes to write stories, I realized it would have taken probably a year or so. Ironically I had initially given myself...
